In the next two weeks, Dr. Alioune Deme from the University of Dakar, with whom our school has a cooperation agreement and who is involved in research in the Niokolo-Koba National Park, will be a visiting professor at the Faculty of Science of the University of South Bohemia. In addition to interesting lectures, he will bring important samples of uncleaned ceramic sherd with sediment remains, which will be examined by the Laboratory of Archaeobotany and Paleoecology together with the Department of Analytical Chemistry of the Faculty of Science of UPOL Olomouc.
Dr. Deme will give two lectures on the archaeology and ethnography of Senegalese traditional and archaeological pottery. The first one in Olomouc on May 2 and the second one on May 7 in the CPE/LAPE lecture room. Both lectures will start at 15:00 and are open to all interested parties.
